I took a photo shoot of possible images for my magazine cover. This first image is good but I don't think It is precise enough for my ideal layout.I took a selection of other photos to compare quality and position. Originally when i took this first picture I wanted to leave the left side of my model with a little bit more space, as I ideally would have liked to have a section of writing Incorporated on to the photo. However after processing the photo's i decided i would have preferred a black and white design on my cover. I feel this photo would clash with what I would like for my overall design. The other flaw to this photo is her open mouth. If I used this, it would suggest I had been inattentive to my overall design.
My second image that I took from the shoot was this one. Although It looks almost identical to the last photo, my models mouth is shut in this one and i think that leaves the image with a more clean-cut professional look. I think as it is a college magazine I am providing the photo for it would be more appropriate to aim for a professional look. However at the moment i am deliberating over weather to aim the magazine for students and teachers or just purely a younger student audience.
This third image I took was completely wrong it is off the focus I desired and is messy and unappealing. I can see from this picture how it is important to get a mid-set view of my model and also how the background largely affects the overall iconography of the photo. I will proceed to take another photo shoot incorporating all I have learnt from these pictures.
